I created this image while photographing a fashion shoot for a high-end bridal salon. The salon owner wanted to showcase a collection of her wedding dresses in a unique way. Due to the shape of this wedding dress and the fact that this wedding gown features a deep low cut back, I knew I needed to photograph my model from behind.
As I was scouting the location, my eye gravitated to the dark cloud-like floors and chose to capture the image from above. I had my muse lean forward to enhance the low cut back of the dress and fanned out the dress in a have circle against the moody black floor to create a distinctive contrast between the white dress and the dark floor; knowing the final image edit will be in black and white.
